Maryam’s date origin is Haji Abad. One of the main products of Haji Abad city in Hormozgan province, Iran is Piarom/ Maryam dates. This city has the largest area of Piarom date cultivation. The main feature of the Piarom palm is its high resistance to water and soil salinity and temperature changes. which has led to the production of Piarom dates in Hormozgan province. Piarom palm needs specific climatic conditions to achieve high productivity. These kinds of dates are also produced in different areas of Hormozgan, including Dehestan Bala, Baraftab, Daragah, Ganj, Jain, Shahdadi, Sarchahan, Madanouye, Nizar, etc. It should be noted that the quality of dates produced in the mentioned cities differs, and the best quality belongs to Haji Abad dates.
Since the beginning of August, the date color has changed from green to yellow and this color change is accompanied by its sweeter taste. From the end of August and the beginning of September, it becomes moist, and from the end of September, it gradually loses some of its moisture and dries up, and this is when it is ready for harvest, which continues until the beginning of November.

Piarom date can be stored at this temperature for 3 years. On the other hand, if this date is kept at room temperature (of course, below 20 degrees Celsius), its lifespan would be reduced to 6 months.
